Digital Age Teaching and Learning
This TEDx-talk aims at sharing my personal story of becoming an early adopter of technology for teaching. It was then I discovered what impact technology can have on a teacher’s roles and what implications technology can have on learning. Let me take you on a journey about teaching and learning, looking at how technology can disrupt what it is we are doing when we engage in learning, one of the oldest activities of humankind.
Biography
Claudia Moessenlechner is an educator and scholar at MCI Innsbruck. She has held several teaching and learning leadership positions and has recently reveived an honorable eLearning award for one of her endeavours in the digital world. In her research, she compared online and face-to-face teaching models and developed a taxonomy of teaching behavior. She has been active in the field of teaching and higher education for some 20 years, her primary research interests focus on (blended) learning and teaching as well as on communication and leadership. In her current function as a head of MCI Learning Solutions, Claudia is deeply involved in developing and overseeing learning solutions and online programs. Claudia’s passion for travel, languages and people has taken her to the major cities in Europe, the Americas, Australia and Asia. She is an avid reader and loves thinking together with others.
