Screen Time for Super Speech Skills
95% of a child’s brain development happens by the age of 5 and there’s growing evidence that screen time can both harm and boost kids’ cognitive abilities. This a story about 4 guys who had a speech impediment as children and later in life aligned on a mission to help kids speak their minds and hearts.
Biography
Mitja Mavsar is a dad to 3 boys (4th-one on its’ way), a husband, and a co-founder of a startup called Blub Blub Inc. Their product (Speech Blubs) was launched in 2017 and has already helped over 500.000 kids with speech delay, even non-verbal kids with autism and Down syndrome. Before his startup journey, Mitja has been a user experience designer who helped shape hundreds of digital products and services across industries, mostly startups, but also several corporations and government institutions in Slovenia, UK, US, and elsewhere. He was also a tech journalist, a speaker, and a teacher. Mitja had also created and ran a university grade curriculum for user experience design at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, and Middlesex University, UK.
